Hudson Institute hosts Metafit Memorial training session

In May 2019 the leading fitness coach Daniel Wilson died from stomach cancer at the age of 37, just two months after receiving his diagnosis. His death stunned the Metafit high intensity training community around the world, as he was a leading member.

A fundraising effort began soon after to contribute towards a scholarship in his name at Hudson Institute. The scholarship will explore cures for gastric cancer.

At the end of August a Metafit memorial training session was held to raise funds for the scholarship.  There were 25 participants, 22 from Hudson Institute and three people from Monash Health.

The training session raised $385 that will go directly to the Metafit Memorial fundraising initiative, which has currently raised over $32,000 to pay for a PhD student for the first year of study under Professor Brendan Jenkins.
