We would like to honour Professor Bryan Williams' scientific accomplishments, mentorship, contributions to the scientific community around the globe and his friendship by establishing a Trainee Scholarship Travel Award in his name.This Award would be offered on an annual basis to a trainee at the Hudson Institute (graduate student or postdoctoral fellow) to allow him/her to attend a scientific conference. At the present time we anticipate an annual award of $1000 to the successful applicant.
The intent is that this fund will be a 'spend down' fund, not an endowed fund, unless sufficient funds are received that will allow an annual investment income of $1000 on the capital.
For many of us Bryan has been a mentor, friend and scientific colleague. This will be our meaningful way of honouring Bryan.
