Randox are prepared to train 2 people in the use of the Daytona Clinical Chemistry Analyser on Tuesday, 11 to Thursday, 13 July. If anyone is interested can they contact myself at tracey.edgell@hudson.org.au
The Daytona analyser performs analyses of bloods or urine for factors such as Glucose, cholesterol etc. A full list can be found at here.
The instrument we have is 'unlocked' this mean that if you need you can adapt methods to suit non-typical samples e.g. lavage samples. The Daytona requires very small volumes and the excess sample is recoverable after your assay, so if your samples are very precious and limited in volume it has advantages.
If this instrument is of potential use to you this is a great opportunity to train. At present the institute has only one trained user (myself). Clinical chemistry analysers are not easy to use without training, they have very fixed ideas on how they wish to be used. So training is essential if you ever require to use the instrument.
