Mineralocorticoid receptor meeting under the Matterhorn

The Hudson's Dr Morag Young, Professor Peter Fuller and Dr Jun Yung

The Hudson’s Professor Peter Fuller, Dr Morag Young and Dr Jun Yang joined more than 150 researchers at the foot of the Swiss alps earlier this month for a meeting titled “Aldosterone, mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) and Salt – What’s New”.

The 8th International Symposium and Annual ADMIRE Cost (Aldosterone and mineralocorticoid receptor European Co-operation in Science and Technology) meeting took place in the Swiss town of Zermatt.

The town lies at the foot of the Matterhorn mountain, which straddles the border of Switzerland and Italy, and is one of the highest summits in the Alps and in Europe.

Prof Fuller was invited to present an overview and recent studies on ‘Co-regulators of the MR’, while Dr Young presented a talk on the topic ‘MR in the heart, lessons from cell-selective transgenic animals’, and Dr Yang presented a poster titled ‘the Identification of Novel MR Co-regulators’.
