We are pleased to announce the following winners who will receive a $50 Visa Go Card each.
Values - Excellence, Innovation, Collaboration & Community
Reason - Caroline works tirelessly to ensure the safety of others and goes above and beyond to complete the necessary work for the Children's Cancer Foundation. In recent events Caroline recruited a patient for a study and had passed away. Caroline commenced work at 4am to conduct a teleconference with an international collaborator and stayed well after her working hours to ensure the patient's last known wishes of his sample to be donated was taken care of.
Values - Excellence, Community
Reason - Madeleine is a standout in our lab, and in the centre in general. She is relatively new to science yet every day her passion and enthusiasm for her work shines through. In the last 6 months she has grown as a researcher and this has definitely inspired the new group of honours students that have recently enrolled. She has a deep care for contributing to bettering the health and wellbeing of babies born after lung injury. This is demonstrated every time she speaks about her project. She deserves to be applauded for her genuine passion and care that changes the attitudes of her peers and provides a positive influence on our lab.
Thank you to all staff and students who sent in their nominations for our inaugural Hudson Values Awards.
Stay tuned for the next call of nominations in Quarter 2!
