2017 BioMelbourne Network
Women in Leadership Awards
The 2017 BioMelbourne Network Women in Leadership Awards
are open! Launched in 2015, these awards celebrate, honour and profile
outstanding women in the biotechnology, medical technology,
pharmaceutical and health innovation sector.
The ideal candidates will exhibit strong leadership in their fields of
expertise, having made outstanding contributions to innovation;
inspiring women who serve as industry role models and mentors in the
community and who have advanced the sector through their achievements.
We recognise that leadership occurs at all levels within an organisation
and throughout the wider sector. The Awards have three categories to
celebrate the achievements of women at different stages of their careers
and in different types of leadership roles.
Women in Leadership Award - to recognise senior corporate leadership and directorship.
Most Valuable Women in Leadership Award - to recognise leadership of teams, projects and initiatives.
Emerging Women in Leadership Award - to recognise rising stars with high potential for future success.
Our sector is powered by talented women who make outstanding
contributions to advancing our industry. Many of our member
organisations will have someone who fits these criteria and we strongly
encourage you to nominate a female colleague, business partner or
collaborator who deserves recognition for their service to the sector.
Full details regarding the nomination process, eligibility, criteria and nominhation forms are on our website here
Applications are now open, with a closing date of Friday 14th April 2017. The awards will be presented at the Connecting Women Lunch on
Friday 2nd June 2017. If you have any questions regarding the awards,
eligibility or the application process, please contact us at info@biomelbourne.org
There are many women in our sector who take strategic risks, tenaciously
pursue goals and are a driving force in the progress of industry. We
look forward to hearing their stories and celebrating their achievements
with the 2017 BioMelbourne Network Women in Leadership Awards.
