Belinda Pelle from HR took the time to visit the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) for the first time on a recent visit to her hometown of Adelaide.
SAHMRI opened in November 2013, located next to the site of the new Royal Adelaide Hospital.
The Institute has seven research themes - Aboriginal Health; Cancer; Healthy Mothers, Babies and Children; Heart Health; Infection and Immunity; Mind & Brain and Nutrition & Metabolism.
In addition, SAHMRI has implemented innovative staff health and wellbeing programs, as well as improvements to communications and marketing.
The building was designed by architectural firm, Woods Bagot, and its distinctive silver exterior is part of the skyline on North Terrace, in the heart of the city.
