PhD student awarded at clinical conference

First-year Ritchie Centre PhD student, Stuart Emmerson, has been awarded the Best Free Communication Award at a renowned clinical conference.

He won the award for his presentation on 'The effect of parity on the ovine vaginal wall' at the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Pelvic Floor Symposium XVII, which took place in Melbourne over the weekend of July 15-16.

Stuart had to leave the conference before the Award presentation ceremony (to go home and write the manuscript of this work!).

Stuart's supervisor, A/Prof Caroline Gargett, accepted the award on his on his behalf and presented it to him the next morning at their group meeting.
