The NHMRC is currently undertaking a structural review of its grant program, and has released a consultation paper to seek feedback on the review.
Hudson Institute will be submitting a response. We could like to consider your comments so that our submission best reflects the views of our scientists. Please forward your comments to Ann Scott (ann.scott@hudson.org.au) by 15 August.
Scientists can also send individual comments back to NHMRC by August 26. It is important that we respond to the NHMRC request for comments, both as individual researchers and as an Institute, to help shape the future of the grant systems we work within.
The NHMRC is also holding a series of public information sessions; one of these will be taking place at Monash University on Friday, July 22, at 2pm (registration info).
In addition, the The Australian Medical Research Advisory Board, which is overseeing the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), will be holding public consultation events around Australia in late July through to early August to help inform a new Australian Medical Research and Innovation Strategy and the related priorities.
The first stage of the consultation process was a call for written submissions on the development of the Strategy and Priorities. The Advisory Board has considered these submissions and developed a draft framework that will be used to determine the Strategy and Priorities.
